    Gspot Question

can someone please tell me what codecs i need to install for this file? i'm not quite sure how to interpret gpsot all that well yet.

even though it said rendering successful the video and sound are poor, and i know the file is good for certain. i had way too many codecs and i think they were conflicting with each other. so i erased all codecs and will start from scratch.

can anyone help? ty very much

If it plays back with poor video and audio, how do you "know the file is good for certain."???

Information from GSpot indicates the video and audio content are of good bitrates (assuming they were not re-compressed from an originally bad source).

For video, use FFDShow. For audio, pretty much any recent .AC3 codec will do the job well.

      Regards.

ok i have ac3 acm decompressor 0.7 and ac3 filter 0.7. either one of these play, but sound is poor. again i am certian the original file is good as it was encoded once before with excellent sound.

when i load this into tmpgenc plus it crashes everytime. other divx files encode great, so it must be my codecs? do i need this "ac3 plugin" i have seen before for tmpgenc?
