Wasup all,
I need a little input here and wasn't sure what exactly to search for, so I'm just going to post this.
I own a Sony Digital8 camcorder and have been experiencing with ripping the video from the camcorder tape to my computer and then encoding it. I've been using the SVCD format and burning them to CD to be able to play them on a DVD player. I realize that I loose the original quality of the true digital format when I do this and now a new opportunity is arising. DVD-RW drives are dropping into my budget range and I was wondering what steps I need to take to get my digital8 tapes to DVD format. What format would they have to be encoded in to play in a DVD player to retain the best possible quality of my recordings?
If more info is needed to answer this question, just let me know.
Thanks all,
Shawn
