Dvd's stop playing

I just opened a new box of fuji 8x dvd-r made in taiwan and burned three movies. I normally use verbatim 8x dvd+r. Well with the fujis they will play all the way until about 1 hour and 30 seconds into a movie. I have tried all my dvd players which are capable of playing all media and they do it in all of them. Is it the discs? My dvd writer is lite-on sohw 832s? please help. thank you

Sounds to me it is the "Fuji" disc that is your problem. I know I saw on here somewhere that the Fuji disc made in Taiwan are not very good quality. (Think it was one of blutach's post)

Ok I found it. I was wrong. It is the ones that are made in Japan that are giving out problems. And it was Trion not blutach. lol

What speed are you burning at ? I would recommend 4X.
