Looking for a program to remove unwanted video

In DVD Shrink, I know how to trim the start and end times of a video but I was wondering if there was a basic program which works in a similar way in which I can actually remove/cut out unwanted parts in the video and also add my own chapter markers.

What I was hoping to do was open a video that I recorded off of TV and remove the commericals that also got recorded on the disc.

I believe TMPGEnc DVD Author (A different program than TMPGEnc), can edit/manipulate the files for you.

TMPGEnc DVD Author- <A HREF="http://www.pegasys-inc.com/en/product/tda.html"><FONT COLOR="3399FF"> Click Here To Download A Trial Version of TMPGEnc DVD Author</A></FONT>

Another program might be VOB Blanker. I've never personally used it but, have seen the member "blutach" mention it quite often. Hopefully he will see this thread and give you some more insight on it.

Tmpgenc dvd author will do this as "jmet" stated. You can add your chapters etc. and burn with TDA if using win 2k/xp
