Problem with video playback Pls help

I used TMPGEnc Plus to convert my avi movies to mpeg1 to make vcds, all played in my standalone dvd player, everything is great except one thing.....the picture when i play back is slightly off proportionately.....everthing is "skinny" its not REAL bad but it is noticable.....how do I fix this *example, I converted Star Wars, The empire Strikes back (AUdio format: MPEG Layer 3,111 kbit/s, 44,100 Hz Stereo Video Format: 640 x 272 24 bits, 174426 frames, 25.00 frames/sec, 101 KB/Sec DIVXMPEG4 V3* I used the wizard, choose pal, then for aspect ratio (4:3.625 line 704 x 576 and left everything else as default. THen I used Nero to burn my vcd....How do I fix the picture, it is not warped BAD but I figure if i spend hours converting a movie to have a vcd, might as well have a normal picutre. Any help would be appreciated...and also, if you do have advice on how I should fix this, settings I should change in TMPGEnc, could you also explain why, as I would not only like to fix this, but also get a better understanding to why the settings or advice given to fix this. I like to learn, and this forum is the greatest! You all been so helpful, thank you!

    "then for aspect ratio (4:3.625 line 704 x 576"

As I suggested to you on your very first posting asking how to create a VCD:

Make certain that both aspect ratio settings (Under "Video" and "Advanced") are set to 352x288 (for PAL) or 352x240 (for NTSC)...
