MPEG 1 output with DVGate Assemble

Hi. I captured video from my Sony camcorder onto my Sony Laptop using DVGate Motion software that came with it. Then I output an MPEG1 file using DVGate Assemble from the captured AVI files.

What I noticed is that in the resulting MPEG1 file, the image appears to be a bit stretched horizontally. DVGate Assemble does not allow you to tweek any settings for MPEG1 (Video CD) output.

Does anyone else have this problem?

Try using TMPGEnc for the conversion to MPEG1 (or MPEG1-VideoCD, if that's what you're trying to accomplish). There are presently freeware versions and a commercial ("Plus") version available.
