    GraphEdit

    I just looked at GraphEdit for the first time - and my examination brought rise to a question regarding its capabilities:

    It has the ability to Play a "graphed" audio stream, but is there some way to save the actual stream (NOT the 'graph") from within the program?

    Any true insight will be greatly appreciated ;>}

    You will have to insert a filter like "Filewriter", connect it to the OUT-point and start "Graph -> Play"
    don't trust in guides

      with actual stream you mean what?

      do you want to save ac3, mp3 or wave?

      let's assume you would like to save to wave.

      a possible way could be this:

      vob => ligos mpeg splitter => xingdvd audio decoder => wav dest => YOUR.wav

      hope it helps

          You've lost me, my friend. I don't understand what your posting has to do with the use of Graphedit. Please be good enough to enlighten me further ;>}

          P.S. The particular file I was exploring with Graphedit was a dual audio track (one .AC3, one CBR-.MP3), DivX-compressed .AVI.

            Shame on me!

            All I had to do was check "Nicky's Solutions" - articles I know (and have contributed to in a very minor way) very well...

              well, sorry if your initial info wasnt sufficient for me to give you all the possible answers you might have been looking for.

              the chain i described has quite a lot to do with the use of graphedit (though not with your case as you seem to be indicating).

                I'm at fault for not realizing what you were outlining.
                Now I can understand the example you were offering (after I've now played with Graphedit a little more).

                Sorry I wasn't able to follow i thte first time.

                Thanks for your insight ;>}

                  no problem

                  as long as you can get graphedit to work

                    Does anyone notice that sometimes the use of Graphedit to exract the wav. file results in the system resources being depleted and that, afterwards, the whole system grinds to a slow lurch as Virtual Memory kicks in?

                      nope,

                      i only use graphedit for testing purposes

                      all extraction are done with vob2audio
                      (which makes use of graphedit routines, though)
