    Panasonic RP56 DVD +R & PS2 DVD Playback

    Hello.

I bought a dvdburner yesterday and knew nothign abuot burning dvds. Learned how to rip and burn them. I tried playing them on dvd player (Panasonic rp56) but they wont work. Asks to try a different disk.

I'm using Fujifilm 8x DVD+Rs and I knew nothing about + or -Rs until ten minutes ago.

The dvd+rs work fine on my computer though.

    Can anyone help?

Edit: Do dvd + or -rs or rws, work on PS2s?

    Thank you.

        Thanks for the replies guys.

I'm confused after reading all the comments. Is write speed ever a factor?

            All right.

After ten burns I still can't get this to work on standalone dvdplayer. The slowest speed by dvd burner gives me is 6x.

            It's a Sony DRU720A.

What should I do? Should I try some other kind of media? Please specify which one if you know so.

            Someone please help!

Maybe you've tried this, but if you burn a dvd+r(w) you can change the booktype of the disc. It's rumored that this will increase the chance of readability in players.

Right after posting this I went out to bestbuy to get dvd -rs on a limb to try them as a last resort, and those 100 dvd+rs will be going more or less to waste because the -Rs WORKED!

                  Thank you so much guys.
