nandub codec?

I have a .avi movie that i cant open, becourse i dont have the codec. When i run G spot it says the movie is codec in Xvid. But i have the Xvid codec it also say someting like this:

[JUNK] Nandub build 1852
[JUNK] release

Anyone know how i can open the file?

nandub used divx3 or ms-v2

install ffdshow as a playbackfilter are your problems will be solved

are all formats (like divx3 and ms-v*) assigned to ffdshow?

you could try installing divx3 instead though ffdshow handles all formats very well for me

1) Load the original video file into VirtualDub (or one of its many variants) or NanDub

2) From the "File" dropdown menu, select "File Information"

3) Post (here) EVERYTHING you see (BOTH video and audio information), or post a screen capture .jpg of the information box

when i load the movie in VirtualDub i got a error message.

Couldent locate decompressor for format 'XVID' (unknown)

VirtualDub requires a Video for Windows (VFW) compatible codec to decompress video. Directshow codecs, such as those used by Windows Media Player, are not suitable.

which version of ffdshow are you using?

try uninstalling your current version and go for a version from end of 2004
(some never version have caused trouble on my systems)

It's beginning to sound like you've got a fake file (Or you haven't INSTALLED the XviD codec).

Post a screen capture .jpg of the GSpot information box

Ok, here is the screen dump. Everyting is ok here. So, maybe its a fake file

What version of XivD codec do you presently have installed? Also, can you play the file at all in a software-based player?

I have version: XviD-1.0.3-20122004 _Final Release_

No i cant play it. It says that i dont have the right codec.

I have tested in WMP, VLC Player and BS Player

Try "DivX Player", but it is starting to look like the file could be "Fake".

I tryed in DivX player, the movie started for 1 sec and then the player crash and closed.
