    Hello,
I have a ASF file. But its not like a normal type one. the asf when u play it you cannot fast forward, and when the video is playing, its times is at 0.00 sec.

Anyway, i searched this forum for a asf conversion and found one, I downloaded virualdub 1.3c and try to open my asf file this is the error i got.

It's apparent that you are not the creator of this .ASF file, so you might want to obtain it again, from the original source, assuming you are legally entitled to do so...

"note that this is not illgeal as i asked them for permisson."

Try using "ASFTools", or "asfindxr.exe" (also known as) "Windows Media ASF Indexer" to make the file "seekable"...

Have you tried the alternative, "asfindxr.exe" (also known as) "Windows Media ASF Indexer", that I suggested?

Simply perform a Googlesearch for "asfindr.exe"...
