Satelite TV DVR to PC

Hello, new member and digital newbie here. Does anyone have experience with connecting their DVR to PC to burn DVDs of recorded movies from the satelite TV DVR? I have Dish Network (Echostar) DVR and my Win XP PC has an ATI 9800 ALL-IN-Wonder card, so it should be doable, any thoughts/suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks
