realtime video disorted by realtime sound

I saw a webpage were sound disorted an image or a video. We connected a digitalvideokamera to my computer and my realtime video got changed by realtime sound. Can anybody help me to do it again.

Sorry...but I am a real beginner with this what is a VideoLAN Player or "VLC" ?
I know you can do it just using a webpage on the net....but if this doesn work have you got any other sugestions.

Maybe I have to make a better presentation of what I want to do.

I saw a webpage where there was music and on the screen there was a image changing to the music. I asked the person I was with if we coul change a realtime video to the music and it worked and the we took a step forward and did that the image changes to my voice....I dont understand how we did it....but I would like to do it again.
