    dual layer chopy playback

first i used verbatim DL dvd and it plays fine in PC, but on old sony home theater it plays chopy on few chapters, specially the later chapters. on philips it does play little better but still chopy on same chapters.

so i changed the media and used imation now it plays fine on philips but gotten worse on sony.

burned verbatim on 6x, imation on 2.4. is speed the problem?, i wanna be sure before wasting another verbatim that costs a lot here. Rs 750 compared to imation Rs 500.
Seems like as soon you buy somehing, v. 2 comes out 1.5 times as fast!..!

see the site below and "dvd players" for the media in question to determine if it is supported. burn at the slowest speed.

Older players that pre-date D/L burnable media may very well have difficulty with playback of such media...
