broadcasting, how?pls. help....

hey,
i have a big doubt.i haven't found an answer to it so far.i wud like to know wat r the steps to b followed before i can broadcast an .avi file.the conversion types, the softwares to be used etc., can somebody pls. help.
i'll b very grateful if i can get a reply to this post.'coz i will b reqd. to spent a huge amt. from my pocket if i need to do the conversion from a studio.pls. help me.

Elaborate on your definition of "broadcast"---do you mean to stream an avi on the internet? Do you want to convert to another medium or format so that you can output to the television?

u were right. i wanna know wat format i shud convert my .avi file and how so that i can view it on television. if u wudn't mind, tell me how i can convert it into a streaming video for the internet as well.

If your computer contains a "tv-out" card you may be able to directly view your avi on your television (by connecting from the computer to the tv).

Otherwise, as most people do, you can conver this movie to a vcd or svcd (a cd writer) is required. Visit vcdhelp.com for instructions. Most people use TMPGEnc. Load the avi and then select the appropriate template.

Search divx-digest.com for a way to stream avi's. You could also try an asx format.
