burning specific VOB w/o transcoding? (no compression)

hi, there are dvds i have that i want to pull specific vobs off of to burn.

ive been using nero ultra 6.6, but it takes about 2 hours to transcode it before it even starts to burn it.

is there any way to burn just specific vobs w/o having to go through all the transcoding?

note: the VOB files all fit on the DVD uncompressed.

    ex.

    VIDEO_TS.BUP
    VIDEO_TS.IFO
    VIDEO_TS.VOB
    VTS_01_0.BUP
    VTS_01_0.IFO
    VTS_01_0.VOB
    VTS_01_1.VOB**
    VTS_01_2.VOB**
    VTS_01_3.VOB
    VTS_01_4.VOB**
    VTS_01_5.VOB
    VTS_02_0.BUP
    VTS_02_0.IFO
    VTS_02_0.VOB**
    VTS_02_1.VOB**
    VTS_02_2.VOB

if i just wanted to burn the ones w/ ** next to them,
is there a way to do it w/o going through the hastle of nero express transcoding it all?

so it will play on standalone players.

    hi!

Sure thing - just use DVD Shrink in Reauthor mode and select whatever you want

As far as I know DvdShrink won't let you select out individual VOB files.
The best that Reauthor mode will do is let you specify certain parts of the
DVD (main movie, trailer, a particular special feature, etc.) to burn.

If I wanted to burn only certain VOB's to a disc playable in a standalone
player I'd use Vobedit and Ifoedit.

you can use dvddecrypter to rip the individual file/s that you want. Then use IFOedit to create the IFO and BUP files for the VOB/s.

          thanks all.
dvdshrink seems work since it sees each vob as a chapter (at least for this dvd which was recorded on a standalone dvd recorder)

ill try out ifoedit out a little later see if it works better.

dvdshrink is certainly ALOT faster than nero. 10mins vs 2.5 hours
