Hello. I have a ricoh R-66 camcorder from 1991. It uses 8mm tapes, and has a coxial output. I have about 20 hours of footage which I would like to convert to DVD.
My prefered way of doing this would be to use a DVD camcorder with an analog to digital input (since I will be buying a DVD camcorder anyway). However, my primary concern is to preserve the quality of the videos. Is this the best way to do this? Or will it be much better to use a DVD recorder, or put it on my computer first? I am new to all this, so the simpler the solution, the better.
