Precisely! I did this on Passion Of The Christ - the DD for the old TV that couldn't handle a DTS signal and the DTS for the home cinema.

I did the same with Ong Bak as it would need 50% compression with both audio and I run out of Double Layers.

The way I takled this issue is if I backup a movie that I know has a great sound track in DTS, I will make two copies one in DTS and one in DD.

Those are always the kind of choices you have to make with single layer -- the ol' 'is it worth another disc'. Like when backing up The Thing, I kept everything 100% by making one disc for the documentary and one for the movie.

Sometimes it gets even trickier, when backing up the Ziggy Stardust DVD I actually chose the 2.5gb PCM stereo track over the 500mb AC3 track. Even though I lost the surround sound, in my own opinion the uncompressed audio sounded better. And the video quality wasn't a concern since its a grainy old 16mm...
