goto the "please Help Me" thread down this page and Anonmez has your answer...good luck. audio syncing is my least favorite part but it's common with AVI files. also search audio sync on the toolbar. hope this helps.

you can do 2 things, raise the direct show file reader in environment settings. or

"tag 2000" this is ac3 audio

to convert the ac3 you need the ac3 acm compressor installed. if that still gives you problems, then you can convert the ac3 to wav with virtualdub and use this as the audio input for tmpgenc (this is what i prefer)

"raise the direct show file reader in environment settings"

options, environmental settings, vfapi plugin tab. right click direct show mulimedia file reader "raise prioirty" to 2 or so its one point higher than anything else in there.

just for the hell of it, raise it to 3 and make sure it is on the very top of the list, try it once more.

              note:

"right click direct show mulimedia file reader "raise prioirty"

you will/may have to do this several times

what a mess you have! so what about raising it to 3 still no go? you have codec problems in the past, and is the source of this problem. you have to much crap on your system. delete everything except divx 5.2.1 and the ac3 acm compressor. then re-install those 2 and try tmpgenc again with the priority raised as i showed you.

i told you what you need for the file we are dealing with. let's get that solved and then we can add othwer codecs later if you need them. delete all codecs from add remove programs, folders, drives any trace of them. delete delete delete!
