Nvidia GeForce4 MX440 to TV (problem)

I get black & white and very poor qualiy (hard to read the words). What can I do to fix this?

I have the same card. Are you using the S Video connection and make sure it is on the S Video input (otherwise it will be in black and white)?

I also found the quality to be basically rubbish and not worth bothering with.

and make sure to pick pal or ntsc

I got the color now but the quality is "rubbish". What else can be done. I am hoping to use my computer to record and play movies on my TV, aswell as use the TV as a monitor.

I find that it is not really any better than that.
