GK - audio and subtitle problems

Hi! I've been using GK with some success, but am not sure how to ensure that the audio level is consistently high - at times the sound comes out fine, but at others the levels are quite low (and I'm not aware of doing anything differently). How can I boost the audio output?

My other query concerns subtitles - I've tried using the advice in the GK guides, but just have no luck. Can someone recommend a fool-proof way to encode with subtitles?

by 'gk' you mean the original 'gordian knot', right?

to encode with subtitles, check out the gordian knot guides at http://www.doom9.org and http://www.divx-digest.com

set it up like this for louder audio:

      Thanks!!

Many thanks - I tried tweaking the audio and it worked well!

      I'll try the subtitles later.

        you're welcome

regarding the subtitles, do you want them to be encoded (forced) into the video, or optional (recommended)?
