    installing subtitles

    Hey,

    I'm quite unexperienced with computers and therefore I have no idea, how i can install subtitles i downloaded. Now for example I downloaded subtitles and they are in a textdocument.
    It looks like this:

    5
    00:03:58,653 --> 00:04:02,089
    Help. Help.
    6
    00:04:02,173 --> 00:04:05,370
    Come on, kids, let's go. The traffic's movin'.
    7
    00:04:05,693 --> 00:04:07,649
    But, but, but, Dad.

    What do I have to do to be able to see these subtitles in the DVD?

    Thank's for your help!

    is it an avi file that you are trying to convert to dvd?

    to only view the subtitles on pc, download & install 'vobsub' and make sure your video file and subtitle (likely an 'srt') file has the same name. then play.

    to permanently add subtitles to the movie, and thus see them when you encode to dvd, see here http://www.videohelp.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=272736 or here http://www.videohelp.com/srtsubsvirtual.htm
