Help! Problems playing DivX in XP

I've had this problem for a while now, while playing or fast forwarding through a divx movie, my computer restarts. I've formatted a few times, same problem. I've used different players, unistalled recent things. I don't know what the hell the problem is. Thanks for any help. This is using the DivX 4.11 codec too.
