Hi, is there a graphical tool that shows me what codecs and filters, etc my video material is piped through before it is played back?

what do you mean by 'graphical'?

download 'media player classic'. play the file, right-click the video, select 'filters'. it will show all playback filters in use

you're either looking for that or 'graphedit'
