Is Cineplayer a part of Nero 6?

Hi all. I keep getting a message that I need to register the codec for Cineplayer when I am in Nero. The thing is, I believe I got that message once or twice in some other program.

I dont see it in add/remove programs, I dont see it in a HD search .. no icons for it, I have no clue where it came from. Before I go into the registry and start snooping, I thought I'd ask here if anyone is familiar with it.

roxio/sonic solutions, ever had any parts of it on your pc?

Yes, Sonic DVDit ... prior vers. 5.2 and DVDit Pro vers 6 now. One of the problems is the comuter I use to do my video editing isn't online, so even if I wanted to become adventurous and click "ok" nuthin is gonna happen . How did you associate this to a roxio product? I wonder if I can go through their website on my other computer and register whatever they want from my other computer. I hate to plug this computer into my home network. I feel like I would be opening up the flood gates ... LOL

you still have part of it on your pc, you have to try and remove it if your not using it.

See if there's a reference to it or the related program in your Win.ini file. If there is just put a semicolon ( at the beginning of its line and resave your Win.ini file. Make sure you resave it to your Windows folder

The scary thing is I knew that .. I'm one of the biggest sticklers on using a web search. Wow... I'm burned out from this video editing stuff. My thoughts are a pile of mush. Sorry guys. In fact .. ha .. no sorry for not clarifying. Thank you for your information about the ini file though. I was aware of that. Its kind of the cousin to the "rem" back in the dos days No, I was refering to my stupidity for not even considering a web search. My brain is fried from trying to learn this video stuff. Because the main program is still on my computer, removing this program isn't something I'm going to do right away.
