    does CPU speed degrade quality?

    hi
    i'm going to convert a 200 meg video from AVI to and MPEG. all i want to know is if i need a fast computer to encode it properly. I am on an AMD 400 laptop with 192 megs of RAM. So i'm wondering if it will become choppy or if the quality might suck due to my slow computer. Or in reality will it just take longer? I am using TMPGEnc-2.53.35.130. thanks

    No, it won't impact the quality. Just enjoy a pleasant night's sleep while the process goes on - and on and on... ;>}

        Not that I'm aware of for TMPGEnc - besides, you're being optimistic ;>}

          well well
          i just found a neeto option on the encoder. there is a box to check that says to shut down after it is done.
          but.....i did a small sample of the AVI file, and viewed it as an MPEG, and the colors are like purple and stuff, what causes the color change??? is it a setting or what?
