It's not a problem, just not a final release yet that's all, they must be trying something out.

                    HI
I think its up to 2.9.7.0. non-Beta now, Soup
And, with a fix two days ago that Triggered a virus alert (false alarm) from Nortons new updated Virus list. people that have stored downloads of previous versions of DVDFAB
and are running Nortons, should remove them from their drives before updating Nortons

                    thanks

As far as I know the virus alert was to do with Innosetup not specifically DVDFab, so once installed Norton should be fine with it, although I guess the innosetup generated uninstall could cause similar false positives. You would hope they had released an update to fix Norton by now though.

The MPC update is my cvs build. Main changes as far as I know are:
                          support for haali's renderer
no longer relies on windows region coding for DVD playback (not 100%)
better mp4/mov support. Quicktime trailors that didn't previously work should be ok now.

About Haali's renderer. It is an external dshow filter. If you don't have it installed, then the option will be greyed out in MPC.

All I know is Nortons will light up any stored unexpanded
versions of DVDFAB, the Author has fixed it so Nortons won't light up any new versions Feb 3rd or newer stored on your computer and Nortons did not Alert on any INSTALLED versions of DVDFAB,
And you are right the Innosetup was the reason for false alerts, so all you have to do is get rid of your DVDFAB archives.
                            Good work on MPC

I like Windows Media Player, it plays many things... I even got a codec that lets it play OGG or OGM files! RM Alternative works too! It won't show the video but works for RM audio files, like those 30 sec song saples etc., and all it doesn't play now is MOV files... but I am sure there is a codec for that too!

I know it is n00bish to like WMP but hey I do!

Only program I use on a regular basis is PowerDVD cuz WMP lags since I turned the overlays off.
