I've recently bought Nero7, which is fine as far as writing DVDs is concerned, but I have an editing problem which you may be able to help me with...
When I play a video clip during editing the image in the laft pane jumps from frame to frame, with the jumps getting progressively further apart, until they're about a second apart. The hard drive is going hard during this. The sound is fine. The weird thing is that when I click onto full screen mode the image runs smoothly. What might the problem be?

Compaq/HP Presario SR1438
512MB RAM
3000M processor
128MB ATI AGP graphics card.
I've tried a 7200RPM separate hard drive to stream the video from, but I still get the same problem.
