ATI Capture Issue, Anyone?

I recently upgraded from an ATI 7500 to a 9600 Pro for two main reasons, the second of which was the Catalyst software. Here is where the issue lies. I notice a peculiar thing in capturing with this card. Captures are fine and dandy straight through using the MMC VCR (even with preprocessing the signal) however, when the Video Soap filters are engaged the audio almost immediatly runs out of sync and way ahead of the video stream and no configuration of connections has altered this that I can discover. I know there are people out there using these filters with success.........what's the secret???? I don't think it's the PC (1.2 Ghz cpu), Is there a work around for this?
