No audio on desktop, audio works on laptop

I hope I did everything right to try and fix this problem. Here is a screenshot of Gspot. If you need any more info please be as specific as possible, and I'll get it ASAP. Thanks for your time.

The file plays fine on my laptop, and I have everything that is on the laptop, is installed on this desktop. Anyways.. here is the ss.

    Any help is much appreciated.

    Welcome to the forum

Try to go on device manager on your desktop and see if there are yellow markers on audio section. Maybe your desktop need a specific driver for its hardware that is missing

That might work - what program are you playing the audio in? Do you have a soundcard on one computer but not the other? That would do it also. I have integrated sound, and even that needed a driver to work.

That did it !!! THANKS ! Thank you sooo much.

Thanks for the welcome. Here is a ss of my Device Manager. There arent any conflicts. Everything else has perfect sound except this file. I tried to play it in windows media player and the divx player. Still a no go. I simply don't understand.

I honestly do not know if this will help you might want to ask one of the experts here but ever since I downloaded and kept updating ffdshow my Windows media player plays anything.Nero even used the audio & video decoders for an AVI file.I also have Ac3filter installed.
