Is this the right DVD Author

Hey all, just curious, if I wanted to buy the TMPGEnc DVD Author program, is this the right one:

Is that the right one, Columbo? I noticed the huge price difference... is it that much better? I am downloading a trial of it now (heh my normal TDA trial expired ) so I will see... but I am not made of money, so if the normal one does the job just as well, then I will probably buy that. Like I said, it depends on just how much better the Pro version is.

i'd get it because of the audio gap correction (which is truly excellent), simultaneous audio tracks per file and the transcoding ability. these features i would use all the time.

Well, I like the whole menu setup thing, don't know if it is worth $50 though, will have to try it out some more.

definetly try it out. even a cheapskate like me thinks 50 bucks is worth it. depends on what you do with it too. take your time with the trial and you will know yourself if it's worth the investment.

Try out the trial version first.....also check out DVD lab pro,http://mediachance.com since I think it has got much more features than the TMPGEnc DVD author.

Does it support subtitles? If it does than I will definately get it. I haven't watched a movie in years without subtitles on... now I almost depend on them! (It makes it easier to understand)

Alright, then I will probably stick to TDA(P) unless that other one is significantly greater. And I will wait for my TDAP trial to expire before installing the other, so I get 60 days of DVD authoring, instead of just 30
