Quicktime 7 player crashes

quicktime 7 seems to crash when playing trailers/.mov, format; H.264 clips. but when i play it off a site it works fine.

Quicktime just sucks, especially under windows. It is slow and offers poor MPEG-4 support including h.264/AVC decoding.

For playing offline try Haali's splitter and ffdshow. The CoreAVC decoder when it is released would be worth checking out to.
