i bought an alba dvdr1000 standalone and had no problems using dvdrw. but i bought some dvd+r (ri-disc) and some dvd-r (datasafe), now according to the user manual both types are acceptable for this model but it wont accept them. the dvd-r says bad discs and the dvd+r says formatting then bad discs. can anyone help plzzzzzzzzz

i found this unit here and people aren't happy with it at all.
