I would like to capture some clips from DVDs for use in PowerPoint presentations. I have not used any movies in PowerPoint but it looks like WMV is the best format. So, what is a good way to rip, capture, and convert for PowerPoint?
Well, Auto Gordian Knot is a good program to convert the DVD to an AVI file, which will work in PowerPoint.. but they are quite large in size. So, you can then use Ulead Video Studio (free trial) or Windows Media Encoder (freeware) to convert to WMV, and you can specify the size of your video... and how many KBPS to use.
