STILL Problems Connecting w/DV cable to computer

Someone please help. Have a JVC GR-D33 without USB. It has a DV port which connects to the computers IEEE1394 port. For starters, where is the IEEE1394 port located?? I have a Dell Dimesion 4600 Series. Is this port already in my computer, or is this something that must be added. My camera book also says I must find out whether my computer port is a 4 pin of 6 pin style. PLEASE HELP!!! Let me know if you need more info. Thanks

I think IEEE1394 or FIREWIRE port is not a standard hardware in a pc.U will have to install it.

its standard with most motherboards nowadays, but you can get a pci card, which doesn't cost much

How do I know if my Dell Dimesion is equipped w/ this?? I can't find the port, but my instruction booklet does mention it, but is not specific on where located or if not installed how to do so. Are there any links someone could send me to clarify this or just tell me what I need to do. If so please be specific. Thanks
