You said the .vob file plays fine in dvd shrink and VideoRedo. What happens after you save the .vob file to an .mpg file in VideoRedo? Can you open the saved .mpg file in VideoRedo and play it?
If the saved .mpg plays in VideoRedo then did you try Blutach's advice of playing it with Media Player Classic? If it still doesn't play then try the Quick Stream fix feature of VideoRedo.
