dvd media , pausing problems

ive burned well over 200 dvds, and have had problems every now and the with media, im currently using memorex, manufacture : ritek, and every other dvd seems to skip/freeze 1 hour in to the movie, i always just copy the main movie and remove all extras, to where compression is at 80 to 95%, any help?

what media did you use with the first 200 movies that do work fine?

i used different kinds, sony, comp usa , and ridata, could it be my burner going

Well depending on the stand alon player you have different media will be compatable with different players. I personally I have had good luck with Verbatim.
I have slo used comp usa with no problems but the comp usa are a much cheaper disc and do not work well for all people. most people will say they are crap. I have never had a problem with Verbatim.

I would think that it is more a media issue then the burner going.
You may also want to check the setting that you use to back up the movies do you do deep analysis for a longer running movie?

This is your problem. These are low quality media, and very often give problems like yours.

Moreover, these media have a short time durability, i.e. after few months will become unreadable.

I suggest you to use only quality media like Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden.

Any Made in Japan disc is the best available.
