bsplayer and windowsmedia won't play divx/xvid

For some reason my bsplayer, windows media player. mv2player won't play my avi files anymore.
When I start a movie it opens well but i only see the first frame.
When I push play nothing happens :-s

Does anyone know how i can solve this problem?

And yes, I do have the latest divx and bsplayer versions

have you made any changes to your system recently? install/uninstall any programs?
