Burning way to slow. HEEEELLLPPPP PPPLLEEEASSE

I just purchased a new DVD burner. It is a LITEON 16x. I am trying out DVD Shrink for the first time and it is going extremely slow. I have tried several discs and i Can't get them to do anything. We are talking it is taking about 12 hours to rip a disc. Then it will go part way through and say that it has an error reading the drive. Just curious what I was doing wrong. Someone way smarter than me help please.
    Thanks,
    Dan

Use this link to make sure your DMA is on
What's all this about DMA? DMA, if on, can greatly speed up communications between your PC and its hard drive and DVD/CD drives. The following assumes your hard drive is on the primary channel and the CD/DVD drive is on the secondary. To check if it is on: Right click on My Computer Select Properties Click on

Thank you so much. The best that I could get was a DMA 4 or whatever. There was no option 5. Does this matter. I really appreciate all your help

DMA4 is the right option. Most of burners reach only DMA2.

Do you solved the problem enabling DMA?
