monitor cable

hey . i made myself a monitor extension cable. soldered two hd15 connectors to a cable. no i can't buy one where i live. the problem i have is that theres a lot of ghosting with it . how do i get rid of ghosting and distortion?

sound to me that you might not have the two ends connected to the same side of the plugins. (eg. + side of connector to the + side of wire back to + side of next connector, same for the - side)

its a problem with the cable-- unlikely the ghosting will disappear unless the cable is fixed or you get a new one

ok i hooked it up and the distortion is gone. don't know why but all of a sudden its working perfectly

you might not have a great connection with the wire itself as well. Maybe a bit of soder would help too........

Ghosting in coax or cable tv is from bad connections and im sure the same holds true here too. Check your connections make sure everything looks good
