    trying to fix dont know what exactly this is

    I have a problem. Ive gotten alot of help and suggestions but i'm needing more. I did a lot of stuff but im stil having the same inconsistency problem. i burn 1 dvd that works and then the next one wont. here is my most recent burning error. any suggestions?

    I see two problems on this log:

    DMA off and AML media. Both give you problems.

    DMA must be on and you should use better media

      i wouldn't worry too much about the DMA, it's on for the drive. looking at your history, you keep getting write errors and you are still using garbage media "landfill material"

        how come it works sometimes? like i burned home alone withthe same type of disc and it did fine, then the next burn messed up witht he same kind of disc? you still think its the media?

          okay yeah i think yeah ill try better media but i still cant figure out why it works perfect on some of the same discs but it messes up on some. i guess i just dont understand why it works on some and not on others....and if it really means media is bad? but i will try it

            The answer is very simple because many blank DVD suppliers like Memorex, Maxwell,.. don't make their own blank DVD but ordering from different companies in Taiwan for more profit and they can lower the prices to look attactive to consumers. This is common problem with cheap media. You are lucky enough to be able to burn successfully a few of those discs

              as ben explained it's the "nature of the beast" with cheap media. you are using some of the cheapest discs in existence. let us know how the new discs work out.
