I am just getting onto the Home Movie thing with my computer. Have installed a IEEE1394 card. My DVD drive is a DVD-ROM. I suspect that I need a DVD Recordable drive. Any suggestions appreciated as to what I should start with? DVD-/+ etc?

Just my opinion, but the Sony DRU-810A works very well, I bought two of them and with the rebates and the free NERO software with them, hard to beat that deal.
Also they were tops on the PCWORLD Mag's performance/value list.
