Convert 8 mms film to DVD

Hi, Short of owning the Warner Bros Studios with all its equipment, is there an easy and/or simple way that I can convert a "keep-sake" family film on 8 mms to DVD for posterity?

    Thanks.

yes take it to a shop. we had a similar question about this recently. i had one hour put straight to dvd for $8.

P.S. using a camcorder with it playing on the wall, won't work!

i just opened the yellow pages and made some calls. eventually i found 4 places that does it. unless you live in a little town in the middle of nowhere...you should be able to do the same.
