I purchased Adobe Premiere Elements 2.0 for my new PC. It uses WinXP and has plenty of RAM and processor speed as well as a huge HD. I've installed and uninstalled and reinstalled PE 2.0 several times. I've checked and double checked my conx. (Firewire 4-pin/6-pin standard conx). All appears to be good. Yet everytime I try to capture video from my new Panasonic PV-GS250 camcorder I get a blank capture monitor, no apparent response from the camcorder when using the software device controller, and an error message telling me that the recorder captured no frames. I experimented using other software on this PC from Ulead and Sonic Foundry/Sony as well as the Windows DVD software that came with the system and they all capture video and are able to control the camcorder from the device controller! Why won't the Adobe PE do the same thing? Is PE 2.0 unable to see my camcorder? Is there some setting that I need to change? (The camcorder does show in My Computer.) When I tested the software on my wife's almost identical PC all worked well. Thanks for any help.
