How do I sperate DVD files to my hard drive?

Ok, I have Nero, and 123 copy DVD, Sonic's MyDVDPLUS.

I have ripped some DVDs to my hard drive, but the files always come out as Nero Shotime files, and once I ripp another DVD, I lose my last ripp. I want to know how I can ripp videos from my DVDs, and put them into normal files seperate (boxing DVDs can contain like 3 fights, but I want them seperate) so I can mix the contant to make another DVD and upload them for sharing.

I'm not very good w/computers, sorry for this if its easy, thanks in advance.
