Very strane problem just occured on my PC (WinXP64, Nvidea 660GT).
All videos (whatever format, ie. AVIs dowm with WMV9, MPEG Layer3, DIVX5) have started playback in black and white. Picture & sound are fine. MP3s etc. are fine.
It doesn't matter what player i use (usually Media Player Classic, but i've also tried Winamp & Windows Media Player), so this cannot be a codec problem.
THere is a FAINT hint of red where a colour should be a really bright red, so perhaps it's not complete black & white. This ONLY affects videos; colours on my desktop, within games & apps etc. are normal.
Does anyone have any idea what's happened here?
Only recent change was installing Black & White 2 which insisted i needed one particular DirectX9.0c file (despite the fact DX9.0c was already installed). I don;t know if this co-incided exactly with the loss of colours in videos. Oh, also installed Daemon Tools v.4 64-bit.
