    Disc Printing

I finally got my R220 to print on my printable discs. I bought a 5-pack of printable CD-Rs and DVD+Rs (both Memorex).

I did get errors about improper loading, but my stupidity caused that... I put the printer too close to the wall and the tray just kept hitting the wall and grinding the wheel. I fixed it by pulling it out.

I printed on my NOW 7 disc, as that disc is scratched beyond belief, lucky for me I backed it up before it was so scratched it wouldn't play, as it does.

I was just curious, the DVD+R's I got has the middle section printable, but the software still has that huge hole in the middle. It lets me set it, but does anyone know what value to put in there?

I did the same thing when I first got mine. Didn't realize that you needed that much space behind the printer. lol

Sam' Club has the 16X Verbatim Printables for $42 bucks for a hundred and they've been great, maybe 2 or 3 at the most that had a defect out of several hundred so far.

I am not a Sams Club member. Does Costco have them?

Do you (or your dad) know anyone staying at a hotel in the Sams Club area?? Most hotels have a Sam's Club visitor pass but with a 10% surcharge fee by SC. I got my computer at Sam's Club and then bought the yearly pass because it was cheaper than 10% surcharge. You could also check with aunts and uncles and have them get it if they have a membership.

About the quality, just visit videohelp in my signature about those discs.

            Have a good day Danny!

PS what did the ink cost for the printer?

LOL, my family likes going to Costco, I doubt we would get a hotel room and join Sams Club just to get some discs. What about those Micro Center ones, are they any good?

Check Costcos online. Might show whether they carry those Verbs or not.

But I use 22 for the full face and 42 for the others.

They sell TY's and Verb's and many more, I prefer the full hub's myself.

The Memorexes I have have the full center, just the CD's don't. Most DVDs now do go full-face, so it's nice.

So use 22 for full face?

Thats what mine measure at. Just get a ruler and measure the centre and use that as your setting. I dont know if the measurement will vary with diffrent makes of media, so measure it to make sure. I expanded the outside diameter a touch as well so that it printed closer to the edge of the disc and looked a little neater.
