    multaple dvd burners

I currently have a pioneer DVD RW drive DVR-106D in my computer and a CDROM drive. I purchaced a new Pioneer DVD RW drive DVR-111D and want to replace the CDROM with this one. Is it possible to run both DVD RW drives (slave and Master) or can DVD RWs only be run as a master?

    Hi nate2631,

AFAIK, the master driveis assigned to the optical drive which can boot the the Recovery CD in case you want to have a windows re-installation. For playing and burning CD or DVD, it doesn't matter

    Regards

i have installed both drives. Only one of the drives is listed as a DVD RW the other is listed as a cdrom in my computer. When I try to burn DVDs with dvdshrink and nero i am given an error during the startup of the burn process. In the device manager Both drives are listed properly and are shown as working with out problems. I have checked for updated drivers but pioneer lists none.

Yes, the drive is listed twice once as a CDRW and once as a DVD RW. This is true for both drives. the error is ...

do nero see it in choose recorder?

you should have a newer nero to go with the new recorder

is that the full version or an oem that came with the old burner

and dma is off for the old burner
