Fastest route to CDs?

I have a 900mhz P3, 256mb, XP, employed as a light-use network server. What's the estimated time for it to crunch a copied 4.3 gig DVD's VOBs into a 700mb avi?

with only 900MHz and 256mb, it'll take quite some time, depending mostly on motion search settings, output resolution and length

Hour and a half long, and all AutoGK settings are default except for altering destination size from 2 CDs to 1 CD (700mb). Amount of ram shouldn't, I think, be a problem since the machine is otherwise just sitting there doing nothing other than being a mapped network drive server.
