Need Help, Audio & video out of sync

When I go to transcode my .AVI files and make DVD video out of them, about 1/3 of the way through, the audio gets out of sync on the final DVD I make.

At first it's just annoying, but then it gets worse and worse until by the end of a 42 minute tv show there's about a 2 second delay in the audio versus the video.

I use Nero to make a dvd video from the .AVI's, what am I doing wrong? Anyone ever had this problem before?

typical of nero actually. use decent software for dvd conversion. there are avi2dvd and TMPGEnc guides. search the forum.

try using mainconcept or Tmpgenc (I use Tmpgenc Plus) to encode the avi to a dvd compliant mpeg file. Use LT's guide for Tmpgenc it is a good one. If you still have audio/video sync problems IMO the best way to fix it is to demux the audio/video>encode the video/audio separately then mux the two together.
      transcode is different than encode.
