How to copy a Divx movie to DVD using standalone dvd recorder

Hello everyone. I have just got a new sony divx player which plays every divx movie I throw at it. I have it wired up through a panasonic dvd recorder with hdd, then to the tv. When I press the record button a message appears that says copying of this material is not allowed. I used to have a kiss divx player connected to the pansonic which would copy without problem. Can anyone tell me why this is and how to get around it, thanks in advance

    Hello!

Your new Divx player incorporates the copy protection circuits to prevent copying of copyrighted material. However there is a workaround...

Click on the 2nd link in my signature, the Sima link. This is a neat little grey box that will effectively remove any copyguard signals in anything that is run through it. It connects between your player and recorder. It is a legal device under the Fair Use act.

    Happy dubbing!

    Here..I will fix it!
